Remember that God doesn't call the equipped.
He equips those He calls which gives all
of the glory to God.

Make sure, no matter how your day goes, that you tie some heartstrings. They intertwine through the years and build an unbreakable bond.

*SO FUNNY*

We were in the elevator coming back up to our suite and a man was in the elevator riding up with us.  He was on the cell phone.  My kids never said a word in the elevator.  When we got off I heard him say, “are you there?… there was this mother and ten cute little kids that just got off the elevator.”  TEN?!

TEN?!

I WISH TEN!!!  LOL

There were only THREE!

I have had SOOOOOO many people here say how polite & friendly my girls are.  That means a lot to Mama and Daddy :)

Seeking Truth: Head Coverings

April 29th, 2008

To be totally honest, I cringe as I write this  because I know some of my family reads my blog, and some of them would tear me to shreds in their laughter and in making great fun of me.  (deep breath!!)

Headcoverings is something that my friends and I have “wondered” and been curious about over the last year.  It’s a subject that just keeps coming back up.

I am asking for you ladies who have studied about this to share what you have learned here but I BEG of you that this not turn into a scriptural war.

I’m nervous bringing this up but I am seeking truth in why we do not wear headcoverings.  (my family & friends)

Here is a link to a very in depth study I am reading.

Please share with me your beliefs.  If you are uncomfortable to post about it in response here, please feel comfortable to email me at AThankfulMommy@aol.com ..

Just Mom and Me Having Tea: A Fun Bible Study for Mothers and Daughters

My sweet friend, Tamara, at www.traininghearts.com is always blessing me!  I feel like she has a very tender way of just knowing when to reach out to someone.

Most recently, she sent me this book.  It is phenomenal!!!!!

It is a precious heirloom and I encourage every mother to grab a copy!

Here’s a link to the book on Amazon..

Tamara, thank you for being such a loving, giving friend.  You mean a lot to me.

~*~ Hannah Joy ~*~ The Social Butterfly!

April 28th, 2008

1

Little Miss Hannah Joy has become quite the social butterfly during our stay here.  She grabs attention every single time she sees someone!  (she has pink eye in both eyes, poor baby!)

In the above picture she is being held by the housekeeper.  She was having a fit because the lady was leaving!

She goes around knocking on doors as we go down the hall way so I have to grab her and hold her to keep her from doing that!  lol

She puts her finger on her mouth and says, “shhhhh!” to the bigger girls if they are laughing or talking loudly.

She also loves Happy Feet, the movie.  It’s her 2nd favorite, her first is Veggie Tales.  She goes around doing her arms and feet like happy feet and we all laugh so hard!

She knows where the office is to one of the persons she likes here… and each time we walk past it she goes right in.  This morning the door was shut and that person was not at work yet and so she cried when she went past that office and the door was shut!

She is such a lil tootie root!

She keeps us laughing and smiling!
We love you Hannah Joy!

Our “Gracie baby!”

April 28th, 2008

1

(side note:  My mother has given each child a nick name basically from the time they were born on… well Mom  immediately started calling Madi Grace, “Gracie baby” when she was born.  While at Children’s hospital they told us Madi was “quite contankerous”  (spell) so Mom would then reverse it and call her Mad Gracie!  lol)

Since Hope has gone to live with her Dad, Madi Grace has really stepped up to being the “oldest.”  She loves to help with Hannah.  She asks me each morning when Hannah wakes up, “Mom, Can I go get her?  I want that to be my job!”  She proudly comes back with Hannah on her hip.  The other day she stopped Hannah from putting something in her mouth.  After she took it out of her hands, Hannah started fussing.  Madi said, “Don’t be fussing at me, Child, I was saving your life!”  It was so funny!

Madi Grace is so smart.  She can read ANYTHING!  She is also VERY good at drawing.  She’s amazing like her father.  He can draw anything.  Sarah Faith is showing the same artistic ability as she gets older.

She also loves riding horses and she tells me all the things my mother teaches her about being a “real cowgirl.”  Just this week she was telling me about some berries that she and Mom ate that Mom said was “survival food” for cowgirls if they ever need it since they grow naturally everywhere.

She is a blessing!  Mommy

Armor of God

April 28th, 2008

http://www.coloring.ws/armor.htm

This week in Bible class we are learning about the armor of God.

The above website is great!  It has a worksheet/coloring sheet for each piece of armor.

I wanted to share in case someone else was interested in doing that for Bible class in their homeschool sometime.  :)

Smiles, Cassidy
